Magic Pairing

Behind a hidden door in Azabudai, four minutes from Azabudai Hills, we serve modern French built on Japanese produce — seasonal wild game, rare Minemura beef, and sake alongside wine. On a Magic Pairing evening our English-speaking sommelier does not simply pour. Between the courses, close-up magic unfolds an arm’s length away, and each pairing is introduced through it. You do not need Japanese, and you do not need a lecture on terroir. The trick shows you what the glass is doing to the dish. 麻布台の隠し扉の奥、麻布台ヒルズから徒歩4分。日本の食材で組むモダンフレンチに、ソムリエが一杯ずつ合わせます。 マジック・ペアリングの夜は、その説明の仕方が違います。コースの合間、目の前30センチでクロースアップ・マジックが起こり、その中でペアリングが解かれていく。 産地の講釈を聞かなくても、その一杯が料理に何をしているかが分かります。

Allergies and dietary needs are accommodated with advance notice — please tell us when you book. One group is seated each evening, so the date is held for you alone. Cancellation is free of charge up to 8 days before, 50% from 7 to 4 days before, and 100% from 3 days before — see our cancellation policy.
